WOW!! What a great dining experience!! Here for early lunch on a Friday enjoying the restaurant week menu. The food is so good!! The arepas, the Caesar salad were amazing and the main courses were excellent. The service is excellent and Selena has been fantastic! The best part it was $30 per person for 3 courses. If you are on strip in Vegas come here now!!
I really enjoyed Chica and would definitely return! I went in for brunch as I had some early meetings before work and figured I would check out this restaurant. The decor of this restaurant is so gorgeous. It's got moody lighting and is trendy with quite a bit of greenery around the place. On weekends, there is a DJ at night and it becomes a whole different vibe that I would love to experience. The food that I had was great- Quesa-Birria Tacos and the Buuelo Donuts were incredible. Get the tacos if you go here and save room for dessert. Would love to try some of the apps on my next visit- I was solo on this occasion. Service was fine- my food came out quickly and I had everything I needed. I arrived early and they were able to seat me within about a minute upon arrival. My only complaint is upon checking in I could have received a warmer welcome and I felt like I was being rushed out very quickly even upon just sitting down, but I also know they were setting up for a buy out for the evening and they all may have been very tired and I was probably near the end of brunch service. I had a chance to speak with the manager just to chat and he was exceedingly nice. Since the price point is elevated I would still expect warmer staff interactions and a bit more time spent with me as a patron. The food is worth giving the service a second try so I will return one day for dinner and give it another chance! Note: Autonatic 18% gratuity for every check no matter what the party size is. You can ask for them to remove it if you'd like.
I usually never write a review about a restaurant or their staff, but after the experience that I just had at Chica, I had to express my perspicacity. Listen, I just had my mind blown away by a waitress named Kianna at this restaurant. Before I dig in, let me give my overall summation of today's R&FS industry... Underwhelming. It's usually filled to the brim with waiters and waitresses that have the nastiest attitudes and cognitive dissonance. But, much to my surprise, Kianna was a rose amongst the weeds. She knew her menu extremely well, she expressed the intracacies and nuances concerning my food allergies with specific items on their menu, and more importantly, she gave the best recommendations for alternative substitutes that I should eat to avoid any issues. Kianna had the answers to EVERYTHING! Also, Kianna was very well educated, shockingly funny, paid astute attention to detail, and her timing was impeccable. Not one time did I ever have to hunt her down to make a request. She always found me first. I mean I would literally look down at the table, develop a thought, pick up my head and BOOM... Like Jake from State Farm, Kianna was right there, checking to see if I needed anything. Dead serious. I couldn't believe what I was seeing. Not to mention, she kept up this level of consistency while juggling 9 or 10 other tables. This was an insane level of output. This lady deserved the equivalent of a Purple Heart for her level of service. People need to keep in mind that waitressing is a skill/art form. More waitresses across the industry need to take a few pages out of the "Book of Kianna" and actively develop her type of skill. As I've stated earlier, my mind was completely blown away. This was by far, the absolute best experience that I've ever had inside of any restaurant in my entire life, bar none!
Omg I love this place! The bar looks so dreamy. Really makes you thirsty for a cocktail - very inviting. The bartender was kind and he allowed me to mix things up with my cocktails and try some with mezcal. The salmon was cooked perfectly and the brussel sprouts were well seasoned. I will definitely be back!
Not only is this restaurant beautiful, but it is also lively with an upbeat live DJ. The DJ was playing all the jams. I started with a Turmeric Tonic! It sounds like a healthy cocktail. But it is a hand-pressed juice. You can taste the turmeric flavor, but it's manageable. I loved it. We started with shrimp ceviche; it was just okay. My boyfriend and I were in the mood for tacos, so we ordered the queso-birria tacos and fish tacos. The birria tacos were our favorite! Our waiter was accommodating and very patient with us! It was our first time at CHICA, but it won't be our last. I recommend you make reservations to avoid a long wait. The ladies restroom is pretty cool :)
TLDR: A stunning, exotic-feeling restaurant in the heart of the Venetian. The food was some of the BEST I had on my entire Vegas trip and the service was amazing. The next time I come to Vegas, I'm coming back here for sure. ------ FOOD: 1. [MUST TRY] Quesa-Birria Empanadas (5/5): Highly recommended by my waiter and for good reason. These came out piping hot with the perfect pastry shell encasing unbelievably tender brisket and melty cheese that oozed out with every bite. The consume came in a little bowl on the side and it was a little difficult to dip the empanadas into it, but otherwise this was just the perfect dish. Came with 3 sizable empanadas. 2. Fire-Roasted Salmon (4.5/5): This is how I would describe my perfect salmon. The skin was perfectly crispy, the salmon was tender, and the ginger chile glaze added just enough sweetness without overwhelming the fish. The fish and Brussels sat on a lake of this creamy sauce that paired wonderfully with the dish, though I will say that halfway through it started to become a little salty for me. The Brussels were delicious too, though on the softer side vs crispy. ------ SERVICE: * I had an excellent waiter who even plugged in my charger in a tricky spot for me * I got checked on multiple times throughout my meal and he was very efficient when I told him that I wanted a quick dinner * I could see the person preparing my salmon dish and it was amazing how much care he looked like he was putting into plating everything perfectly * I'll caveat all of this by saying that I had an early 4:15 pm dinner so the restaurant wasn't too busy ------ AMBIANCE / ENVIRONMENT: * I loved the ambiance of this restaurant. It's on the darker side but still illuminated by table lights and by the gorgeous bar in the center of the dining room. There are tons of murals around the space that add to the experience, and the Latin music was the perfect complement to the atmosphere * This is one of the first restaurants you'll see on your way to Restaurant Row in the Venetian, right on the edge of the casino
No better place to get dinner with las chicas than at Chica! The restaurant was so much fun with great music. Service was fast and staff was friendly. Me and the girls had a great dinner here. We had a variety of dishes and can confidently say that the flavors are 10/10. What we anticipated the most was the flaming skull dessert and it did not disappoint! Would definitely visit again!
This place was a whole vibe. Super tropical and cute place. They have life entertainment and great music. Also by the bar there is a lil dance floor. We call for a reservation got there a bit early and we were seated right away. The staff was attentive and when got our food fairly quickly after ordering. The food was so good and fresh and fulfilling. I enjoyed the presentation of the dishes equally as the food . The shrimp ceviche was sooooo bomb ! Omg the crackers were good too and different texture. The quesa biria empanadas were so good! Omg just nice a crunchy on the outside and soft on the inside. Just enough cheese and meat. The meat was tender not salty at all! First time trying octopus it was different but I will say it was good with the sauce. The arepas were good as well! The drinks were good, and too strong ever smooth to drink. I really enjoyed this place!
Chica is located at the end of restaurant row at the Venetian. You can access from either there or Palazzo. We had resys for Friday night and would recommend doing so, it was pretty packed. This restaurant is so nice, it's fly and def gives off tropical Vibes. Their menu is a celebration of culture, with a modern take on Mexican recipes. Great food and the service was exceptional. The manager stopped by our table in full Afro, and said "hey twin" to my Grandson who was also all in the natural. It was so cute! I ordered the beet salad, it was so good and fresh with tri- color beets, basil almond crumble, honey lemon yogurt and blood orange! Amazing! For dinner we both ordered fire roasted verlasso salmon that was exceptional! It came smothered in a ginger chile sauce and Baja glaze that was delicious. I'd order this again 10 times over. They have a great bar and dynamic wine program. I ordered a Tempranillo from Spain. My grandson had a chicken quesadilla and loved that also. Small menu for children but they did offer classics for kids like chicken tenders and fries.
